It is expected that when you receive a badge, you understand and will follow these rules explicitly:

  1. Anyone who accepts a membership badge agrees to indemnify and hold harmless AnthroExpo and Our Way Oklahoma, LLC (OWO) from any claim for personal injuries or other damages or equity arising out of an individual’s activities at AnthroExpo, even if such injury or damage is caused by negligence by or on the part of AnthroExpo or Our Way Oklahoma, LLC (OWO).

  2. Registration badges are the property of Our Way Oklahoma, LLC (OWO) and AnthroExpo and must be surrendered upon request without exception for any reason deemed proper by security, hotel staff, or the management of the Convention.  The registration badge becomes the property of the person once the convention is officially closed on Sunday, February 2nd 2020 at 11:59 PM CST.

  3. Examples of valid photo identification include: photo ID issued by DPS or DMV office, driver’s license, military ID, passport, tribal ID, or any other government-issued identification not listed. Examples of IDs that are NOT valid include: school ID, employee ID or any other ID that is either not issued by the government or not a photo ID will full legal name and date of birth. Any person who does not present such photo ID will not be allowed to complete registration or be granted a convention badge of membership.

Parents and guardians will be held responsible for damage or problems caused by their minors even if they do not attend with them. No minor of age 16 or 17 will be allowed entry without proper identification and the completed signed Parental Consent form provided above. Any minor who provides a forged permission form or photo ID will be remanded to the custody of the local police.

  5. Children who will be age 15 and below at the time of registration check-in are not required to present government-issued photo ID but must register with and be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian who has registered and provided ID at all times in any official convention area.

  6. Convention attendees must wear their official convention badge at all times while in convention areas and it must be shown upon request to any member of convention staff, security, hotel staff or law enforcement. Your badge will contain a badge name of your choosing (subject to staff approval), as well as a unique number. Altering convention badges in such a manner as to permanently obscure any of these elements renders the badge unusable. If your badge becomes unusable or is lost, replacements will be available at registration, please be prepared to show your ID to prove identity. Any person found using a counterfeit badge, using a badge not belonging to them or making copies of their badge for others will have their membership revoked and will be asked not to return during that year and/or subsequent years.

  7. AnthroExpo reserves the right to deny or revoke membership at any time for any reason.

  8. Individuals who have been convicted of crimes that label them as a sexual offender or “RSO” in any national or local database are prohibited from registering or attending any sanctioned events by Our Way Oklahoma, LLC (which includes, but is not limited to AnthroExpo). The board of directors will allow an appeals process for non-violent offenders that can be accessed through emailing compliance@anthroexpo.com. Filing an appeal does not automatically grant access and is still subject to denial based on a majority vote from the board. Information provided in the appeal is confidential and will not be shared or distributed except to need to know individuals.

  9. Persons who are subject to any type of restraining order that has been brought to the attention of executive staff may not attend events that would violate this order.  Local law enforcement may be called upon in the event any person(s) in violation of these terms refuses to remove themselves, or in any event in which an individual or party is otherwise violating the law.

  10. In the event that any AnthroExpo staff or security member deems it necessary to revoke any attendee’s membership, that attendee must surrender their convention badge to said staff or security member and leave AnthroExpo convention spaces immediately. Said attendee will not be entitled to any manner of refund or compensation.
