  2. Anyone who accepts a membership badge agrees to indemnify and hold harmless AnthroExpo and Scissortail Fandoms, Inc. (Sci-FI) from any claim for personal injuries or other damages or equity arising out of an individual’s activities at AnthroExpo, even if such injury or damage is caused by negligence by or on the part of AnthroExpo or Scissortail Fandoms, Inc. (Sci-FI).

  3. Registration badges are the property of Scissortail Fandoms, Inc. (Sci-FI) and AnthroExpo and must be surrendered upon request without exception for any reason deemed proper by security, hotel staff, or the management of the Convention.  The registration badge becomes the property of the person once the convention closing ceremonies or event has formally ended.

  4. All attendees of AnthroExpo (except those minors attending with a parent as described in section 6 below) will be required to present a single government-issued photo ID at registration which clearly states their full legal name and date of birth. Examples of valid photo identification include: photo ID issued by DPS or DMV office, driver’s license, military ID, passport, tribal ID, or any other government-issued identification not listed. Examples of IDs that are NOT valid include: school ID, employee ID or any other ID that is either not issued by the government or not a photo ID will full legal name and date of birth. Any person who does not present such photo ID will not be allowed to complete registration or be granted a convention badge of membership.

Parents and guardians will be held responsible for damage or problems caused by their minors even if they do not attend with them. No minor of age 16 or 17 will be allowed entry without proper identification and the completed signed Parental Consent form provided above. Any minor who provides a forged permission form or photo ID will be remanded to the custody of the local police.

  6. Children who will be age 15 and below at the time of registration check-in are not required to present government-issued photo ID but must register with and be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian who has registered and provided ID at all times in any official convention area.

  7. Convention attendees must wear their official convention badge at all times while in convention areas and it must be shown upon request to any member of convention staff, security, hotel staff or law enforcement. Your badge will contain a badge name of your choosing (subject to staff approval), as well as a unique number. Altering convention badges in such a manner as to permanently obscure any of these elements renders the badge unusable. If your badge becomes unusable or is lost, replacements will be available at registration, please be prepared to show your ID to prove identity. Any person found using a counterfeit badge, using a badge not belonging to them or making copies of their badge for others will have their membership revoked and will be asked not to return during that year and/or subsequent years.

(which includes, but is not limited to AnthroExpo). The board of directors will allow an appeals process for non-violent offenders that can be accessed through emailing Filing an appeal does not automatically grant access and is still subject to denial based on a majority vote from the board. Information provided in the appeal is confidential and will not be shared or distributed except to need to know individuals.

  10. Individuals who are subject to any type of court mandated protective order (or otherwise known as a restraining order depending on jurisdiction) that has been brought to the attention of executive staff in good faith for the protection and security of any attendee may not attend any Scissortail Fandoms, Inc. sanctioned events that would violate the order. Any court mandated protective order may be presented to executive staff by the original petitioner/plaintiff if they in good faith plan to attend any Scissortail Fandoms, Inc. sanctioned event. If attendance of the same event by the defendant of the order would violate the order, they will be barred from attending as a reasonable safety accommodation of the plaintiff in advance of the event. If the petitioner/plaintiff of the court mandated protective order does not act in good faith or does not plan on attending the event, the request for the above accommodations may be denied at the sole discretion of Sci-FI executive staff.

  11. In the event that any AnthroExpo staff or security member deems it necessary to revoke any attendee’s membership, that attendee must surrender their convention badge to said staff or security member and leave AnthroExpo convention spaces immediately. Said attendee will not be entitled to any manner of refund or compensation.

  13. Any usage, sale or possession of illegal or non-prescribed controlled substances will constitute cause to revoke the membership of those involved and will be reported to the local authorities.
