AnthroExpo 2022

COVID-19 Policy

In cooperation with local, state and national efforts to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, AnthroExpo will require that its attendees and staff are fully vaccinated, or that they provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test dated within 72 hours of badge retrieval. Masking will be mandatory in all convention spaces. The full scope of our COVID-19 policy and related details can be found below.

Prior to badge pickup, all individuals will be required to sign and return a COVID-19 liability waiver releasing Our Way Oklahoma, LLC & AnthroExpo 2022 from liability stemming from contraction or spread of the virus related to our event. This waiver will be available at the convention, or you may print it here and sign ahead of check-in to save time.

AnthroExpo 2022 will primarily require all attendees and staff to provide proof of full vaccination, with a second dose administered at least 2 weeks prior to the date of badge retrieval. This means that to pick up your badge Friday, January 21st, your 2nd dose must be administered no later than January 7th, 2022.

Proof of vaccination means a physically verifiable COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card administered by the CDC or a certified vaccination report from your Doctor’s office or place of vaccination.  We do accept photographs and photocopies of your COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card.  All information on it must be clearly visible for our team to verify.

Children and those unable to be vaccinated must submit proof of a NEGATIVE test administered within 72 hours of badge retrieval. Examples of such proof include a physical report from a physician's office or other place of testing, digital results from a verifiable source reflecting your name and test date, or an at-home test accompanying the receipt of purchase.

Do not test early. Your test must take place within 72 hours of badge pickup. Please plan in advance accordingly, as many locations do not offer walk-in appointments (or they are very limited) and may have an associated cost based on your insurance and/or local/state laws.

If you utilize an at-home test, you must bring the completed NEGATIVE test AND the receipt of purchase, with the receipt dated within 72 hours of badge pickup. If you purchase your test outside of the 72 hour time frame, it will not be permitted as valid proof in accordance with this policy. No exceptions will be given for this.

AnthroExpo will NOT provide on-site rapid testing, however, we will have lists of local drugstores that MAY have rapid testing available for purchase. we highly recommend purchasing a rapid antigen test through your local drug store (Walgreens, CVS, etc).

Masking in all convention spaces will be mandatory. Masks must fit properly and be worn to cover both the mouth and nose. Disposable masks will be provided on-site while supplies last.

Convention spaces are defined as any of our hotel's panel or event rooms, the downstairs main events ballroom and the 2nd floor convention lobby area. Fursuiters must wear a mask under their fursuit heads while in suit and in headless lounge areas.  An upstairs and downstairs headless lounge area will be provided due to this rule to prevent heat exhaustion and fatigue.

Temperature checks will not be administered during the con. If you feel sick or are running a temperature, please be responsible and self-quarantine.

Hand sanitizer will be readily available throughout our convention space. With our current projections of the space and attendance numbers, we do not anticipate the need to regulate social distancing. There is always an inherent risk that you will come into close contact with others at a populated event such as a furry convention, and we encourage you to be respectful of others' personal space by maintaining a distance of 6 feet from other attendees that you do not know personally.
